The Homeless or Abandoned Cat differs from the Feral by their dependence on humans.  Unlike the Feral which is able to find his own food, the Abandoned Cat is usually looking for the can opener.

An Abandoned/Homeless Cat

• Appears in poor health
• Will approach a human
• Will "mew" or "talk"
• Will migrate to a home
• Is usually starving for food & attention
• Will stay in his area unless dumped away from his home.
• May be wary, but will eat if human present, even if caged.

These cats were abandoned in our village.  They have food & shelter, but would love to have their own family and forever home!
